A Single Case Study on the Art Therapy for a Middle man with Chronic Schizophrenia -Focused on affecting Depression and Anxiety

Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this case study was to examine whether art therapy affected depression and anxiety of patient with chronic schizophrenia or not.

Method: For this study, chronic schizophrenia patient aged 39 took part in the art therapy program consisted of a 14 week process. BDI, BAI, K-HTP, and KFD were used.

Results: The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the participant showed in reducing test anxiety and depression after finishing the art therapy program. Second, the participant of this study could improve insight into his delusion, hallucination and psychotic symptom.

Conclusion: Therefore, this study suggests that the self exposure and self disclosure through art therapy could improve the symptom of mental illness in the patient with chronic schizophrenia in spite of limited sample.
